Ricoh’s GR IV launches in September for a much steeper price than its predecessor

The Ricoh GR IV compact camera will cost 1,499.95,asteepincreasefromitspredecessor′s900 asking price in 2019, and will ship in mid-September.
It will include a redesigned 28mm-equivalent f/2.8 lens, a 26-megapixel APS-C sensor, new autofocus and stabilization systems, and 53GB built-in storage.
Alongside the camera body, Ricoh is offering an add-on flash for $119.95 in the shape of the GF-2.
The price hike is likely due to the impact of US tariffs on cameras from manufacturers including Fujifilm, Nikon, Canon and Leica.
