Gaming giant, Nintendo, has announced a new, free mobile app for kids, alongside a Mario-themed range of products.
The app, ‘Hello, Mario!’ allows children to play with Mario’s face, poking, tugging and flinging it around the screen, with the character reacting in various ways.
The product range, ‘My Mario’, includes toys, games, clothing and toddler-safe dinnerware, all featuring the company’s iconic mascot.
The highlight of the range is a set of wooden building block sets, featuring existing characters from the franchise, as well as new additions such as a question block and a mushroom.
The range will be launched in Nintendo’s Japanese stores, with some products set to be more widely released in 2024.
There has been no confirmation as to whether an English language version of the app will be released.
