Artist Jeff Koons, who is known for his multimillion-dollar Balloon Dog sculptures, has collaborated with design brand Lexon and The Broad museum in Los Angeles to create functional Balloon Dog-shaped pieces.
The pieces, which include an 11-inch tall speaker and lamp, are being made from “high-quality translucent material” to show the internal electronics.
They will be produced in limited supply, with the speaker available for $750 from Lexon’s website, with shipping due to commence in October 2025.
The speaker features six active drivers and four passive radiators for 360-degree sound, while the lamp has nearly 400 LEDs which can generate up to 200 lumens of brightness.
Buyers can also pair two speakers together for a true stereo sound experience at a cost of $1,500.
