The YouTube app continues to be unavailable on the Nintendo Switch 2 handheld console, despite the app appearing on the original Switch.
However, according to TeamYouTube’s status update, the company is working with Nintendo to make the app available on Switch 2 “soon”.
No other details were forthcoming, including whether YouTube will update the existing app to make it compatible with bothSwitch generations or create a Switch 2-specific version; the app was released on 8 November 2018, over 18 months after the original Switch’s launch.
Other streaming apps unavailable on the Switch 2 include Hulu, Crunchyroll, Niconico and Abema.
