Summary
Apple has updated its Vision Pro virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) headset to visionOS 26, adding support for the PSVR2 controller and volumetric rendering to its hyper-realistic Personas avatars, which will now feature full side-profiles and appear more natural.
The new software improves interoperability with iPhones, allowing the phone to be unlocked while wearing the Vision Pro and calls to be relayed through the headset.
Users can also scroll through content using eye movement and the update supports 180-, 360- and wide field-of-view content from several providers.
VisionOS 26 will be available from today to developers via the Apple Developer Programme.
