Nikon’s cameras are about to get more expensive in the US because of tariffs

Summary
Nikon has announced a price hike for its imaging products in the US, due to President Trump’s tariffs on Chinese-made goods.
The company has not specified which products will be affected or by how much, but the announcement confirms it is a direct consequence of the tariffs.
The move comes after a number of other camera makers, including Canon, Leica and Sony, also revealed US price rises, while Fujifilm temporarily paused US preorders for some of its cameras, including the X-M5 and the X100VI.
Nikon itself has suffered reduced profits of Y10bn ($70m) as a direct result of the tariffs.
The price rises are scheduled to come into effect from 23 June 2025.
