Summary
A new version of the $3,499 Vestaboard split-flap mechanical display board - which displays messages, alerts and notifications - has been launched, called the Vestaboard Note.
The new version is smaller, priced at $899, and is due for release at the end of 2025.
functionally, the Vestaboard Note is very similar to its predecessor, with the ability to show 64 alphanumeric characters as well as punctuation, colours and other symbols, but it only uses 45 split-flap mechanisms rather than the 132 used in the original Vestaboard.
The Vestaboard can be controlled via a web interface or a smartphone app, where users can schedule, share with other Vestaboard users and silence messages.
The launch of the Vestaboard Note follows over a year of development working on a different version called the Smart Bits.
