Japanese company Bandai has released a new version of its popular 90s touchscreen device, the Tamagotchi, which lets users care for and breed up to 50 species of the virtual pets.
Called the Tamagotchi Paradise, the device enables users to zoom in and out of three different ecosystems, dictated by the version of the device they purchase, and consisting of land, water or sky.
Compatible creatures can be paired together to breed new additions with over 50,000 combinations.
The device, which has a full colour screen and is controlled by buttons and a dial, also lets users zoom in to a pet’s cellular level, allowing them to care for and heal them when they become unwell.
It will be released in Japan on 12 July, 2025, priced at $45.
