Summary
Garmin has announced a new addition to its Varia range in the form of the Varia Vue, which is the first cycling headlight with an in-built 4K camera, pairing visibility with safety on the road.
The camera can record incidents and send the footage to the cloud via a smartphone, saving footage triggered by accelerometers.
It can capture 4k video, electronic image stabilisation to reduce shakes and bumps, and up to six hours of recording on one charge.
The headlight has a maximum brightness of 600 lumens, which is only available in a flashing mode for daytime use, while at full brightness it still outputs 550 lumens, and can be dimmed to as low as 140 lumens.
It is available to buy through Garmin’s online store for $549.99, or via Amazon.
