Truth Social Crashes as Trump Live-Posts Iran Bombing
1 min read
Summary
Truth Social, the social media network owned by Donald Trump’s media company Truth Social, suffered an outage at around the same time as Trump announced that the US had bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The platform displayed error messages to users when they attempted to load the network, with the message “Network failed. Please try again”.
NetBlocks, an internet watchdog, said the outage was not related to country-level internet disruptions, and Truth Social did not respond to requests for comment from Wired.
It has been reported that US forces carried out airstrikes on the Fordo and Natanz facilities, however, the condition of the US targets is yet to be confirmed.
Truth Social users were recently sent an email encouraging them to follow Trump’s account for navigation of world affairs.
Trump is due to make a televised address at 10pm ET.
