This month, Microsoft issued security updates that resolved more than 80 vulnerabilities in its Windows operating systems and software.
The update includes patches for 13 flaws that earned Microsoft’s most-dire “critical” label, and none of the vulnerabilities are currently being actively exploited.
The updates resolve a range of issues, including remote code execution, and privilege escalation vulnerabilities.
Both Google and Apple have also recently issued updates to fix “zero-day” bugs in their devices.
The Android kernel and Android Runtime component were both bugs that Google fixed on 3 September, while Apple patched its seventh zero-day of the year with the iOS 18.6.2, iPadOS 18.6.2, iPadOS 17.7.10, macOS Sequoia 15.6.1, macOS Sonoma 14.7.8, and macOS Ventura 13.7.8 updates.
