Summary
Four alleged members of the “Scattered Spider” group, which has targeted airlines and the retail chain Marks & Spencer, have been arrested in the UK, although specific details of the individuals arrested have not been confirmed.
The FBI warned last month that the group was targeting the retail and airline sectors.
It is believed that the two 19-year-old suspects were involved in the closure of several MGM casino properties due to a cyber intrusion and ransomware attack in September 2023, with the woman reportedly Flowers’ girlfriend.
One of the more notable names netted in the operation is Thalha Jubair, who is also alleged to have been a core member of the LAPSUS$ group that targeted a number of major tech companies in 2022, including T-Mobile, Nvidia, Rockstar Games and Samsung.
While the identities of the two 19-year-old suspects have been revealed, the name of the 20-year-old female defendant has not.
