Summary
A good front panel can really finish off a project, and this YouTube video demonstrates a quick and easy way to achieve a professional finish.
The process starts off with a regular sheet of paper and a laser or inkjet printer to print the design.
It is then coated on one side with matte varnish and on the other side with white spray paint.
After being cut to shape, the decal is glued to the panel using two-part epoxy, and then another coat of varnish or clear epoxy is applied on top to seal and protect it.
The resulting front panel can then have holes drilled and filed as required, and the finish is very professional.
The technique can be used on a variety of substrates, with aluminium used in this instance, and the results look like a high-quality product.
