Anker’s newest Prime Charging Station can not only charge devices quickly, but play Doom too, according to a Hackaday report.
The station uses an Espressif ESP32-C3 for its Bluetooth functionality, as well as a 150 MHz Synwit SWM341RET7 ARM-based MCU, 16MB of external flash memory and 8MB of external RAM.
A YouTube video by Aaron Christophel shows the charger running the game, which is controlled by the clicky encoder on the side of the station; although the playing experience is a little awkward, it is still impressive given the hardware limitations.
Christophel speculates that the station’s hardware is probably needed for power negotiation and thermal management.
The Anker Prime Charging Station is available for $170.
