A YouTube video from Chronova Engineering demonstrates the process of creating an adjustable Allen (hex) key, something that does not currently exist in the market.
The design iterations are all 3D-printed and manual machined until the final version, which successfully expands to grip different sized hexagonal bolts.
The design is not being patented, but the drawings are available via the Chronova Engineering Patreon if hackers are interested in making their own adjustable Allen key.
Allen keys are ubiquitous in engineering and DIY, so this could be a very useful invention, albeit for a fairly niche problem with no commercial interest.
