3D printing enthusiast Joshua Bellamy has created a “laminar flow garden hose head MK2” that can deliver water to plant pots in an orderly manner that he claims is more efficient.
The apparatus works by creating a parallel stream of water, minimising the turbulence that characterises a standard hosepipe to deliver a more precise flow.
laminar flow is also important to applications such as laser cutting, to reduce oxidation and create a cleaner cut.
Version 3 of the device is already available and makes use of 3D printed locking nuts and a Bruce Banner figurine.
