Summary
A pet lover who needed to weigh their dog but found it difficult to get it to stand on a weighing machine as it found that situation difficult, has created a dog bed with weighing scales built in.
When the dog lies down on the wooden framed bed the owner can easily weigh it, as load cells are placed above rubber feet to calculate the weight, with the result shown on an LCD display.
The same pet lover has also created a hack using a pup-sized barrel for their dog to roll around in.
The creations are part of the Hackaday 2025 Pet Hacks contest, which invites inventors to share their ideas for innovations to benefit pets and their owners.
