Embedded engineering lecturer V. Hunter Adams gave a lecture to engineering students in which he expressed his fondness for the discipline, which could just as easily have been a manifesto for hackers, according to Hackaday.
Adams advised students that embedded projects demand depths of understanding that result in the removal of filters through which many take life’s complexities; for example, anyone creating a project involving USB must understand the protocol.
The article urges readers to adopt an attitude of embracing challenges in hacking, learning through the process, in contrast to the more simplistic “making” approach.
