A group called Megalog has designed a nearly all 3D printed skateboard called the Skateboard MK2, save some nuts and bolts, as well as alternative tyres and bushings made out of flexible TPE filament.
The four piece deck is designed with a striking hexagonal pattern to ensure grip and features stylised two tone printing.
The board is relatively strong, however, where the pieces meet is the weakest point, prone to breaking at the layer lines under pressure.
The designers have also provided printable trucks with models that include flexible tyres and bushings made from the same material.
Conventional threaded rods and wheels can be used if preferred.
The skateboard is a cheap and fun mode of transport and whilst this design can be prone to breaking, it is a neat execution of a well thought out design.
