YouTuber Basically Homeless, who typically shares videos about his minimally housed lifestyle, has shown how he installed a PC inside his chair, and provided links where readers can find the instructions, parts and costing for the project.
The chosen chair, donated by a sponsor, was suitable due to its having plenty of space for the required components.
These include a Ryzen 7 9800XD, 64GB of RAM and an RTX 4060 GPU, together with aluminium standoffs to safely create the space required and a 3D-printed case to make the chair look stock, besides the cables emerging from it.
Such a project is very niche, but the maker has made the STL files available on his Patreon at no cost.
While this is the first instance of a chair PC the creator has seen, desk PCs have been featured elsewhere and Hidden Electronics has previously reported on such developments.
