Who Needs 100K Speakers When You’ve Got a 3D Printer?

Summary
UK company Bowers & Wilkins released their cutting-edge Nautilus speaker design in the 1980s, which became a cult item and now changes hands for as much as $100,000.
Influenced by the design, a maker used a 3D printer to build his own version of the Nautilus for $20.
He used Blender to create his model, which contained a 3.5” full-range driver by Dayton Audio and was printed for less than the price of a pizza.
The maker claims his version improves on the original’s sound quality, due to a larger rear vent.
The design could be further improved by adding a matching subwoofer, but this would involve more assembly work.
