YouTuber Maciej Nowak has posted a video tutorial showing how he made a small table saw, which could be useful for craft or hobby work requiring precise cutting of small pieces.
The saw uses an 800-watt brushless motor, a 3” saw blade and a plywood housing, while the frame, blade mount and belt drive were fabricated from aluminium and steel on a lathe.
As a brushless motor, it is relatively energy efficient and therefore suitable for a compact table saw.
Nowak added a motor speed controller, though the original design meant for it to be battery operated rather than plugged into a wall socket.
While the video displays the final product, it does not show the making process in detail, suggesting prior experience in metalworking would be beneficial to replicate the build.
