The FDA is making it more difficult for Americans to get vaccinated for covid

Summary
The Trump administration in the US is attempting to limit access to COVID-19 booster shots by placing additional regulatory hurdles in the way of vaccine developers for “healthy persons”.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will give approval to vaccines for adults older than 65 and youngsters over six months old with at least one Covid risk factor.
It will demand more data for those who don’t have such risk factors, potentially reducing access to vaccines.
Some experts are sceptical about the advantages of the FDA’s new vaccine guidance, with one saying it will make vaccines “less insurable and less available”.
The number of Americans likely to have annual access to Covid vaccines will be cut to 100-200 million, or fewer than 60% of the population.
