The Outer Worlds 2 will be released on 29 October, just over three years after the original game launched.
Obsidian Entertainment’s CEO said the company almost didn’t release the game due to the difficulties of managing multiple projects during the Covid pandemic.
The game is set on the planet Arcadia, where the decisions the player makes will determine the fate of the colony and the entire galaxy.
The first game received positive reviews but critics said it did not take many risks, so The Outer Worlds 2 may attract more attention if it takes more risks than the original.
