Summary
The Onimusha: Way of the Sword trailer highlights the samurai action players can expect at this year’s Game Fest.
The game was announced last year, and is a reboot of the franchise that started in 2001, and is considered to be the Japanese equivalent of Resident Evil, providing survival horror with a feudal Japanese twist.
The original games followed the story of Samurai Sam, a warrior who travels through time and must kill his enemies with his sword, and also sported some advanced graphics for their time, with realistic lighting and shadow effects.
The first two games in the franchise were recently remastered, and the new game is the first original Onimusha title in almost 20 years.
Capcom is the developer behind the Onimusha franchise, and is also working on new Resident Evil titles.
