Summary
Please, Watch the Artwork is a follow-up to the puzzle game Please, Touch the Artwork 2, announced in an ASMR format by creator Thomas Waterzooi in October 2022.
Players are museum workers, reporting anomalies in paintings and tasked with identifying these anomalies in a game that aims to invoke feelings of paranoia, melancholia, isolation and nostalgia.
This time, Waterzooi has chosen the graveyard diners and lonesome bedrooms themed artwork of American realist Edward Hopper to be the subject of his game.
Please, Watch the Artwork features six themed galleries containing 40 paintings in total, with real hand-painted animation bringing Hopper’s masterpieces to life through over 400 unique anomalies.
The game has no jumpscares or monsters but aims to play on players’ fears of clowns.
