Rock, Paper, Shotgun reporter Adam Smith enjoys the feeling of satisfaction that comes from using a well-placed rooftop window in a video game, and Otherside’s upcoming PvP stealth game Thin As Thieves appears to offer much of the same enjoyment.
Deus Ex creator Warren Spector, who is involved with the title, showcased some pre-alpha footage this evening.
While Smith admits he is not likely to play the game, he enjoyed the preview and the adaptation of immersive sim DNA into a competitive format.
The footage showcases a number of gameplay elements, including hooks, smoke grenades and clubs.
The game’s audio director also stressed the importance of sound for navigation and for protecting oneself, using thunderstorms as an example.
Readers can sign up to playtest the title here and it’s available on Steam.
