Gaming news outlets are reporting that the popular space simulation game, No Man’s Sky, is releasing a major content update entitled ‘Beacon’.
Players will be able to become mayors (or ‘Overseers’ in-game) of a town, being responsible for the well-being of the settlement and its inhabitants.
Every building within the town will now contribute to the settlement’s success, and each settler will have their own unique information page to help the player understand their strengths and weaknesses.
There are also new pirate raids, fishing ponds, the ability to customise your in-game voice, and a host of other new features.
Most surprisingly, the massive update is being given for free to existing players.
