Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord’s first piece of DLC, War Sails, has been delayed by developer TaleWorlds Entertainment, with the company announcing that it will not be ready for the originally planned release date of June 17th.
In a post on the official Taleworlds website, the company said that the decision to delay the DLC’s release came after taking the time to review where the development stood, with the company believing it needs more time to reach the level of quality expected from players.
TaleWorlds wrote that the additional development time would allow the developers to add more polish, as well as continue to make improvements to the base game that are already in motion.
War Sails is focused on sailing trips, trading, and fighting enemies, and will introduce a Viking-inspired faction, however, players will now have to wait for a new release date, which TaleWorlds says will be provided in the “upcoming weeks.
