An Elden Ring movie is in the works from the Ex Machina director Alex Garland, film production company A24 and game publisher Bandai Namco.
There is no confirmation whether the game’s developers From Software are involved, however, George R. R. Martin is contributing as a producer.
Miyazaki has previously expressed interest in an Elden Ring movie but stated that he and FromSoftware do not have the knowledge or skills for film production, and thus a strong partner would be required for such a project.
There is no word yet on the story, characters, cast nor any projected release date.
Some critics have argued that it would be difficult to capture the essence of a FromSoftware game.
