Summary
Rock, Paper, Shotgun has noticed a trailer for Dreamspring, an open-world RPG which has taken influence from both Morrowind and the Dark Souls series.
The game is set in the “dying Kingdom of Mortis” and follows a spellsword gunslinger who must explore the world and its ethereal landscapes and battle creatures including spiders and skeletons.
The combat appears to be less punishing than typical Souls-like games, with branching dialogue and story pathways.
Currently it is available in early access, with the core loop of the game completed, but the main story and world still in development.
It is made by developer Billyfighter, whose previous game Necroslayer is available cheaply.
