Summary
Although CD Projekt Red (CDPR) is currently focused on The Witcher 4, a sequel to its previous game Cyberpunk 2077 is in the works.
The creator of the Cyberpunk world, Mike Pondsmith, has provided an update on the progress of the video game at the Digital Dragons conference.
He revealed that the new game will introduce a second city to the game, alongside the presence of Night City, and that CDPR is focusing on the “feel” of the new city, with a vision of Chicago gone wrong.
Pondsmith’s involvement in the project is less extensive than it was for the first game in the series.
He looks at the scripts and speaks to different departments, providing feedback on the creative process of the new game.
It is likely to be at least seven years until the release of the next Cyberpunk game, according to industry commentators.
