Summary
11 Bit Studios, the developer behind the city-builder Frostpunk, has announced that a new project set in the Frostpunk universe is in production during its annual financial results call.
The developer is calling the new game a “larger-scale title”, which will be released in 2029 and will potentially be launched as early as 2027.
During the financial results, the company stated that it had experienced record sales, however, profits had not increased, mostly due to the cancellation of Project 8, a third-person fantasy adventure game.
There were also disappointing results in the publishing division, with The Thaumaturge and Creatures of Ava failing to resonate with gamers, while Indika has done well as an experimental satire.
The future looks more promising for the company with Moonlighter 2 and Death Howl set to be released alongside an in-house game called The Alters.
