Following the Battlefield 6 beta, developers DICE, Criterion, Motive and Ripple Effect have reviewed player feedback and gameplay experiences.
The developers found that players were playing the game in a similar manner to Call of Duty, and Apples and Oranges warfare games, focusing onActing as a culmination of this feedback, the following aspects of the game have been addressed by the developers:
Changes to weapons to make them feel more unique and encouraging more controlled shootings.
Changes to game movements to make it feel “balanced and traditional”
Smaller maps to be tweaked to prevent players from going out of bounds.
Two maps to be tested in Battlefield Labs, including a remake of Battlefield 3’s Operation Firestorm and a map in Mirak Valley.
Adjustments to the Rush game mode to reduce the player count from 64 to 32 to improve the flow of combat.
An ad hoc approach to player counts, varying from map to map and game mode.
The availability of both open and closed weapon playlists.
Matches to be easier to find to complete challenges.
