Gaming news site Rock, Paper, Shotgun (RPS) has announced the release of Dawn of War IV, the newest edition of the real-time strategy franchise developed by Perth-based Relic Entertainment.
The game has been released by King Art Games, rather than Relic, and will be available in 2026.
Set many years after the events of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, war has returned to the planet Kronus where four factions fight for supremacy.
Fans of the series will enjoy force growing, base building, squad specialising and a Sync Kill system that allows players to view gory melee combat details.
The game will also feature the return of Dawn of War 2’s Last Stand mode, AI skirmishes and multiplayer options of up to 3v3.
Fans keen to review the game ahead of the release can check out RPS’s Gamescom event hub for all the coverage from Cologne.
