Summary
Valor Mortis is a new soulslike game revealed by developers One More Level during Gamescom Opening Night Live.
Set in Eastern Europe during Napoleon’s 19th century conquest, the first-person game will challenge players to defeat enemies whilst exploring a plague-ridden hellscape.
The game will feature combat similar to that of BioShock, allowing players to dual-wield flintlock pistols and transmutations, which are magic powers that allow the player to shoot fire from their hands after interacting with dead bodies on the battlefield.
Players will be able to test the game in a closed playtest after Gamescom, with the full release not due until 2026.
