Summary
EA has launched a Battlefield 6 “road to Battlefield 6” which adds content to the previously much-criticised Battlefield 2042 game ahead of the expected launch of Battlefield 6 later this year.
The update, which is the equivalent of a major overhaul and is essentially a new game, includes the addition of the classic map Iwo Jima, which features an active volcano.
Two new weapons have been added, with the Lynx sniper rifle available to beta players who played the Battlefield 6 demonstrating their loyalty to the series and the KFS2000 assault rifle given to all players.
Two new jets, the A10 Warthog and SU-25TM Frogfoot, have also been added, with EA saying they have been designed to counter ground vehicles.
Meanwhile, the “road to Battlefield 6” is a series of 60 tiers in a free battle pass which will unlock new gear inspired by the series’ history, and runs from 18 August to 7 October.
