Skibidi Toilets are the creation of YouTube personality Alexey DaFuqBoom Gerasimov and feature in a satire series involving fixtures from the games Half Life 2 and Garry’s Mod.
The term skibidi has been added to the Cambridge Dictionary, with definitions including ‘a word that can have different meanings such as cool or bad, or can be used with no real meaning as a joke’
It is one of thousands of new words added to the dictionary, others including delulu, tradwife and broligarchy.
Skibidi has also made it into the urban dictionary, defined as ‘a rapidly spasmodic, uncoordinated shaking of the hand and arm, usually provoked by extreme excitement.’
It has been described as the ‘call of the modern age’ and ‘the clarion call of the inaware’ and has been linked to a range of modern culture, including video games and the BBC.
