  • A recent update to the game Peak added a desert biome, however, players have found it too difficult to survive in the new environment.

  • The update’s developers, Aggro Crab and Landfall, have released a patch in response that makes several changes to the game, including:

    • Tumbleweeds, dangerous creatures in the desert, now deal thorn damage but their ability to knock players over has been made more consistent.
    • Dynamite appears less often and can no longer blow players up through walls.
    • Scorpions require line of sight to aggro, are slower and deal less damage.
    • The scout cannon provides three more seconds of protection from fall damage.
    • One unspecified item has had its weight reduced.
  • Developers Team Peak have also fixed several bugs and disabled rising lava in the kiln until they can fix an issue with syncing game mechanics across all players in a party.

  • The patch notes acknowledge that whilst some suffering should be expected, the update had made parts of the game unfairly difficult.
