A recent update to the game Peak added a desert biome, however, players have found it too difficult to survive in the new environment.

The update’s developers, Aggro Crab and Landfall, have released a patch in response that makes several changes to the game, including:
- Tumbleweeds, dangerous creatures in the desert, now deal thorn damage but their ability to knock players over has been made more consistent.
- Dynamite appears less often and can no longer blow players up through walls.
- Scorpions require line of sight to aggro, are slower and deal less damage.
- The scout cannon provides three more seconds of protection from fall damage.
- One unspecified item has had its weight reduced.

Developers Team Peak have also fixed several bugs and disabled rising lava in the kiln until they can fix an issue with syncing game mechanics across all players in a party.

The patch notes acknowledge that whilst some suffering should be expected, the update had made parts of the game unfairly difficult.
