live allows people to colour pixels on a Google Maps image and create drawings.
As the website has no way of checking whether a user has requested a new Burnout game, or requested an existing game to be burnoted down, Rock, Paper, Shotgun decided to take matters into their own hands and write “New BurnouT! PlS” across a stretch of Shitten Creek, Oregon.
They also wrote the same message in a far more hopeful spot: the resort of Paradise City, next to the airport in Incheon, South Korea.
Rock, Paper, Shotgun also looked for other video game-related messages in wplace and found that others had also used the website to ask for new games, or to show love for games series that have been laid to rest.
