Dataminers reportedly digging into Elden Ring’s files following the arrival of its Duos update, uncovering details about an endless mode, called ‘Deep of Night’.
Players will fight their way up through the ranks of a new rating system, fighting in the dark with only a flashlight to illuminate the action.
The mode is said to comprise five depths, with each having 999 rating levels to work through apart from the fifth depth, reserved for the toughest competitors with a rating of 6000 or more.
Enemies and bosses are also set to get “magmafied” variants, which turn them orange and presumably make them tougher.
The original discovery of the files is attributed to a user named Supuritto on the Bilibili social media site, with the Administrator posting the information on Reddit.
As with all datamine discoveries, it’s suggested that caution is advised until official confirmation or denial by FromSoftware.
