Peak devs highly unamused by microtransaction-riddled Roblox rip-off Cliff

Summary
Aggro Crab, developers of the climbing game Peak, have expressed their displeasure at a Roblox clone of their game called Cliff, created by PewStudio.
Aggro Crab claim that Cliff is a “microtransaction-riddled slop ripoff” of their game and would prefer fans pirate the original rather than play PewStudio’s version.
As well as the title art and gameplay mechanics, Cliff also shares many of Peak’s features, albeit with a downgraded aesthetic and heavy focus on microtransactions.
Roblox is frequently criticised for its glut of clones of popular games, which often prevent the original titles’ developers from earning a decent profit.
Nevertheless, some more successful developers are able to take these copies in their stride, and even find the ensuing backlash entertaining, while others feel it’s having a negative impact on their business.
