Framework Laptop 16 update brings Nvidia GeForce to the modular gaming laptop

US tech company Framework, known for producing laptops and desktops with upgradeable and repairable modular components, has announced an upgraded version of its Laptop 16 product.
The new machine will include Ryzen AI processors and integrated Radeon GPUs, as well as a new graphics module using the mobile version of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070.
Framework has also announced that it will be releasing a 240 W power supply to accompany the enhanced power requirements of the new components.
Preorders for the updated Laptop 16 open today, with the first units shipping in November.
The new device starts at $1,499 for the DIY Edition, which does not include RAM, storage, an operating system or expansion cards.
Framework is also offering the previous Ryzen 7 7840HS CPU version of the Laptop 16 at a reduced price of $1,299.
