Not (just) seeing red: Virtual Boy emulator adds full color support

Ars Technica has discovered a Reddit post demonstrating a new colour palette added to the Virtual Boy Wario Land game.
The 1990’s Nintendo console was notoriously only able to display games in red and black, due to the abundance of cheap red LEDs at the time.
However, a new version of the 3DS Virtual Boy emulator, Red Viper, allows users to select a new colour palette, dipping into the settings menu and selecting colour options for four different shades.
While other Virtual Boy emulators have permitted users to select a single colour display, Red Viper is the first to allow a multicolour option.
There are also RetroArch shader options that have similar functions, but require a lot of technical know-how to operate.
