Summary
Netflix has given the go ahead to a series based on the Assassin’s Creed franchise after it had been in development for several years which included it going through numerous creative teams.
The co-showrunners appointed to the series are Roberto Patino who has written for Sons of Anarchy and Westworld, and David Wiener who worked on the Halo and Fear the Walking Dead series.
The duo released a statement saying they were excited and humbled by the possibilities that the Assassin’s Creed brand offers them and that the basis of the series will be on human stories.
The overarching plot will focus on the shadow war between the Templars and Assassins factions fought over centuries and across cultures.
