Summary
Nintendo has confirmed it will end its Switch Online service benefit of offering game vouchers for subscribers to download two games, in anticipation of the launch of Nintendo Switch 2.
Subscribers can still buy vouchers worth $100 for two games until the end of January 2026, but the vouchers will only be redeemable for a year after purchase.
The move means that vouchers cannot be used for new games, including the yet-to-be-released Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
When the coupons were first launched, users could save up to $30 on certain games, with the vouchers usable on any two eligible games from a list provided by Nintendo.
The company has said new titles will be added to the eligibility list in the run-up to the service’s end.
