Neil Druckmann, co-creator of The Last Of Us franchise, and writer Halley Gross have announced they are stepping away from the HBO series.
Druckmann’s credits included executive producing, writing and directing on the show, and he is now going to focus on Naughty Dog and its future projects, including writing and directing the upcoming game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
Druckmann thanked his co-workers on the show and praised it as a career highlight, adding that it was an honour to work alongside Craig Mazin.
Gross’s specific plans going forward are not yet known.
Fans of the series have been concerned about its future after fellow creator Alexander EYvPina departed earlier in 2023.
