Elon Musk’s DOGE Is Working on a Custom Chatbot Called GSAi

According to two unnamed sources, Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is looking to develop GSAi, a custom generative AI chatbot for the US General Services Administration as part of President Trump’s AI-first agenda.
The project aims to boost the day-to-day productivity of the 12,000 employees tasked with managing office buildings, contracts and IT infrastructure for the US government by using the chatbot and AI tools to analyse contacts and procurement data.
Despite executive orders and guidance from the Biden administration warning employees to approach AI with caution when it comes to emerging technologies, Trump has ordered the opposite, stating that barriers to the US exerting global AI dominance should be eliminated.
Following this order, Musk’s team has been quick to adopt AI tools, planning to reduce costs, speed up processes and analyse data, with the Department of Education already implementing AI tools to analyse spending and programs.
However, DOGE has reportedly halted the rollout of some AI tools this week, apparently for unknown reasons.
