A DOGE AI Tool Called SweetREX Is Coming to Slash US Government Regulation

The US Office of Management and Budget is using AI to review and cut regulations, via a tool called SweetREX Deregulation AI, designed to highlight sections of regulations not required by statute.
SweetREX Deregulation AI Plan Builder (SweetREX DAIP) is intended to help the government achieve deregulation goals laid out in President Trump’s “Unleashing Prosperity Through Deregulation” executive order.
SweetREX has been developed by associates of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The AI plan builder will also group the public’s comments on regulatory changes into buckets, categorising the types of entities submitting comments, such as individuals or corporations.
It will then categorise the types of people or entities submitting comments, such as whether they are an individual or a “sophisticated” corporate commentator.
