Meta Is Going to Let Job Candidates Use AI During Coding Tests

Meta has told employees that it will allow some coding job candidates to use an AI assistant during the interview process, according to internal messages seen by 404 Media.
Existing employees are being asked to volunteer to take part in a “mock AI-enabled interview”, the messages said.
This is the latest indication that Meta, like other Silicon Valley firms, is pushing software engineers to use AI in their day-to-day roles.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has previously stated his vision for human employees managing AI coding agents that will write code for the company.
Zuckerberg said in January that he believes that AI will be writing “a lot of the code… including the AI that we generate” in around 2025.
